High Performing Teams

For the high-potential teams around executives: a program to raise the game and keep growing.

Our High Performing Teams Program is designed for the teams of those leaders who are part of our executive coaching portfolio.

It combines Envoy’s experts and experience with the power of individual coaching. Each month, participants work through modules based on team goals and dynamics and work with an advisor to apply their learnings to themselves and their organizations. Upon completion, the team is trained in the communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills most important to their organization and ready to tackle the challenges ahead.

 

A Six Month Commitment Tailored to the Team Mission

This program is designed to be applied professional development. It provides 1:1 support to drive home themes, work through exercises and coach each individual through their toughest challenges.

 

Program Structure

Each program is unique to each participant, tailored in partnership with the team lead to provide the required skills in the optimal order of development. 

The first month is the foundational kick-off for the program and includes three parts:

1.    Pre-work. Each participant receives access to a private website tailored to the team’s program and a set of exercises / readings to prepare for the program. 

2.    Session 1 / Kick-Off. The program kicks off with a private session to dive into who they are, their personal and professional goals, and set their intentions for the following months. Based on this initial session, each participant is paired with an advisor and lays the groundwork for Session 2.

3.    Session 2 / Identifying Motive. Participants meet with their advisors and begin work on the foundational module – Identifying Motive. In this module, participants will learn to identify what drives them, the stakeholders and third parties they interact with on a regular basis, and how motive and empathy drive better communication and influence.

 

Months 2-6:

 

Each month is focused on a combination of different critical skills relevant to the participant, including:

 

·      Communicating across cultural boundaries

·      Advocating for self, team members, & resources

·      Internal consulting & communicating value

·      Delegation & prioritization

·      Problem-solving

·      Negotiating with external stakeholders

·      Strategic decision-making

·      Personal presence & brand

·      Framing (language, environment, proxemics)

·      Public speaking / presentation / facilitation skills

·      Navigating conflict & difficult conversations

 

Monthly Cadence

-       Two (2) hour long coaching sessions with their advisor to introduce the concepts included in the module and application of the module topic to their professional style and real-world applications

-       Access to Envoy experts on specific subject matter issues

-       Digital tools, exercises, and supporting materials hosted on a private website

-       Expert content relevant to the module (videos, podcasts, articles, and books)

-       Access to advisor via email and chat

 

Confidentiality

All advisor sessions are confidential. Participants are encouraged to discuss real-world examples and scenarios as they apply the skills modules to their organization. For topics raised outside our expertise, we refer participants to internal resources of the client. While we don’t share specifics of conversations, we do keep team leaders abreast of progress being made and share high-level trends or sentiments raised among the team members.
